It was built in the middle of the 19th century, in colonial style.
Besides the simplicity typical from the local constructions, São Sebastião Church follows the style of Latin temples, where the crucifix is
represented by the naves.
In the sacristy works Museu de Arte Sacra (Museum of Sacred Arts), with the same
name as the church. There, several pieces that illustrate the religious face of the city are in exhibition.
