 Arraial d'Ajuda - Beaches - Pitinga Beach

Pitinga Beach

It is necessary to walk about 500 meters through Parracho to the Pitinga beach. There are no roads that go there what separates Parracho from Pitinga is a exactly a colony of reefs located in a small point.

On crossing the reefs, the beach of Pitinga begins, which means a white pigment, a name of indigenous origin. The landscape changes, the vegetation that covers the mountains disappears and the mountainous coast appears. They are real mountains of day, corroded by the erosion, which contrasts with the clear blue water of the sea.

The beach has a good structure to receive tourists, with six restaurants that have freshwater showers, bathrooms, live music, besides a menu that offers the delicacies of the local culinary. In the summer, there are stands that organize kayak and sailboat rides.
