Museu Abílio Barreto (Museum Abílio Barreto)
Abílio Barreto Museum occupies a house built in colonial style, where Café do
Museu, Auditório Itaú and Sala Usiminas also operates. There’s an open air stage used for events. It houses a library that can be used by
visitors for researches in books, CDs, catalogs and videos.
Inaugurated in 1943, the museum has a rich patrimony including photographic and
iconographic material. The sculptures and the furniture tells again the history of the city, altogether with sacred pieces, adornments, old
documents and a scale model of the old Curral Del-Rey.
