Bodoquena Ecotouristic Park is a private area and was created thanks to the
initiative of NGOs and the owners of Pitangueiras Farm, where it’s located. There are several activities that please the public of all ages.
The tour starts with a bike ride alongside the river, which has many natural pools.
Those who prefer can make the same route in canoes. Those who enjoy adventure uses to choose the horse riding through the roads in the property,
which also has stone walls adequate for climbing.
In the park there are several trails and a mini-museum, with a permanent exhibit
of tools used in rural works, besides indian craftsmanship. The cultural center has models that illustrate the developement of Mato Grosso do Sul.
Now, for those who enjoy rural works and wish to know better the farm’s routine may visit the cattle, horse and sheep raising areas, besides the
corn and soy plantations.
Pitangueiras Farm is one of the oldest farms at Serra da Bodoquena and stays 33 km
away from de Bonito. The house is rustic and has architectonic style of the 19th century. The ideal is to keep the whole day to visit
Parque Ecoturístico da Bodoquena.
