Bonito - Others - Anhumas Abyss

Anhumas Abyss

Anhumas Abyss

It’s a cave located 23km away from Bonito, called of "buraco" by the expedition instructors due to the fissure in the ground which gives access to the internal part of the cave. To enter, visitors must descend 72 m with a rope until reaching a floating deck built over an 80m deep lake of crystal clear waters.

It’s possible to dive into the lake to get closer to the near rock formations. For experienced divers, the practice of free diving, when the diver is equipped with a cylinder of compressed air, is also allowed, proportioning a even more beautiful vision, at the depth of 18 meters.

Visitors take a quick course before adventuring into the cave. It’s advisable the use of warm and flexible clothes, since it’s very cold inside the cave and for more comfort during the activities. Photography is allowed.
