    The entrance visa in Brazil is only issued abroad therefore, its no use trying to get it in the country. All the foreigners who wish to visit Brazil for a period larger than 90 days or who were born in countries that don’t have an agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Relations must apply for a visa. It is best to apply for the visa in advance because the processing of the information takes about 10 days.

    Visas are granted to foreigners who come to Brazil for tourism, visits to friend and families participation in sports and artistic events, besides the attendance in international seminars and conferences.

    In the first place, the foreigner should fill in the farm for applying for a visa in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English. Each traveler should fill out one farm, even the tourist is under 18 years old. The people under 18 years of age, if they are not traveling with their parents, have to present an authorization of their parent with the signature of both of them.

    The passport should be valid for at least six months at the time of applying for the visa and the person should present a recent colored 5x7 or 3x4 photograph, with a light lack ground. The processing of the visa takes about 10 days, so the ideal is to apply for a visa ahead of time.
