“Pátria Phantheon” was created to honor the former president Tancredo Neves and to
keep alive the history of national heroes. The building, which looks like a pigeon, is authorship of Oscar Niemeyer.
There is an exhibit of panels and screens referent to the honored, like the panel
about “Inconfidência Mineira”, made by João Câmara. There’s also a nice stained glass made by Marianne Peretti and “Salão Vermelho”, where
there’s a panel made by Athos Bulcão.
