The building was constructed in only ten days and was the first official residence
of President Juscelino Kubitschek in Brasília. The house was made of wood with just two floors. Today, it houses a small museum with the
furniture and other personal objects of the former president, used during the construction of Brasília.
The residence was inspired in “Palácio da Corte do Rio de Janeiro”, which was the
residence of the president when Rio de Janeiro was the capital of Brazil. |
