The construction of the Nossa Senhora Desatadora de Nós Chapel began on March 12nd,
2001 and was inaugurated on September 8th, in the same year. Right after the inauguration, it received the blessing from the Pope John Paul II who
nicknamed it "The Small Great Masterpiece".
Located beside the Santa Rita Church, the chapel of simple colors and decoretion calls the
attention of the tourists. The land where it was built was granted by a priest and the expenses were of the responsability of a lawyer devoted to Nossa
Senhora Desatadora. The dream of the lawyer was to build a chapel just for the saint.
