City’s Museum |
The museum was built on a farm, donated by the city’s founder to one of his sons,
Antônio Luiz Pereira. The very simple house, made of mud walls, was transformed in a museum to remember to the visitors the origins of the city,
native of travelers from Minas Gerais.
It counts with reports of the history of the city’s foundation and has a carved
wood sculpture of the plasti artist Índio, a well-known sculptor of Mato Grosso do Sul. The City’s Museum was opened to celebrate the centenary
of the city’s administrative emancipation, when the farm that seats the memorial was restored.
The City’s Museum is also known as Antônio Luiz Pereira Museum.
