Campo Grande - Church - São José Church

Campo Grande - São José Church

São José’s Church

Built in 1924 by Padre João Crippa’s order. Reforms, initiated in 1938, modificated the facade and the laterals of São José’s church. Due to lack of materials and because of the war, the work could be concluded only in 1948, when the rooftop was finished.

The lateral facade’s tower was erected in 1950 and today guards the bell. The stained glasses of the church, which pictures the life of São José, were made by german artisans and are one of the great church’s attractions due to its beauty.

Address: Rua Marechal Cândido Mariano Rondon, crossing with Rua Pedro Celestino.
