    In front of Praça da República, visitors find Museu do Pantanal, good place for those interested in the culture and history of the region. It has on its patrimony several pieces of Indian tribes of the region, exhibit of arts and typical mud and leather craftsmanship. There’s also a panel with the iron cattle markings that illustrate the power of the centenary families of Pantanal and clothes of important local characters.

    A room guards the stories and some specimen of viola-de-cocho, typical musical instrument of Pantanal, while other shelters a funerary carriage, came from France. Besides the museum, in the building there is the Municipal and State Library, projection room and theater workshop.
