Paraguai River |
Corumbá was founded at the margins Paraguai River, what explains its
importance. It’s born at Chapada dos Parecis, countryside of the State of Mato Grosso and is 3000km long. Around 2000km are in
brazilian territory.
Paraguai River is so important that even has a special day on its
honor, June 5th, when International Day of Environment is also commemorated. The greater show performed by nature and
related with the river is the encounter of the muddy waters of Paraguai River with the dark waters of Cárcere River. The phenomenum
occurs during the flood season, from August to October.
The margin of Paraguai River is covered with vegetation and has good
conditions for navigations. Tourists have the chance of making a nice tour that makes possible the photography of various places of
Corumbá surroundings, including the regional fauna and the famous sunset. |
