Corumbá

The Xaraés lodge is 340 km from Campo Grande, state capital of Mato Grosso do Sul, in one of the most beautiful geographic region of the Pantanal. The lodge is part of a commercial cattle ranch carrying about 1500 head in a total area of 4200 Has. The Pousada Xaraés is also a real paradise for bird watching and receives amateurs and professional ornithologists escorted by bilingual guides with excellent knowledge of the area and the location of even the most reclusive and shy birds. The area of the Pousada Xaraés is one of the best place to see the Hyacinth Macaws and others species.
 

The main attraction of the region is ecotourism, with a great variety of fauna and flora with local species as capivaras, alligators, tuiuiús (local bird) and armadillo.
