War Arsenal |
As its own name indicates, the old War Arsenal of Cuiabá was constructed to be a
fabric and warehouse of weapons. The works began by orders of Dom João VI, in 1818. It was inaugurated in the same year.
Nowadays, the historical building is occupied by SESC, which organizes cultural
events and has a educative program to entertain visitors and residents. The chopperia (kind of bar) located inside the building is the city’s
meeting point.
