The Municipal Aquarium of Cuiabá presents an enormous variety of fishes encountered
at Mato Grosso and Pantanal. Pintados, dourados, pacus, piranhas and arraias, among others, lives in tanks which reproduces their natural habitat.
It was founded in 1999, next to Museum of Cuiabá River, as a part of a Project of reurbanization of Avenida Beira Rio.
