The centenary Catedral Basílica Menor de Nossa Senhora da Luz is the principal
church of Curitiba. Know before as the Largo da Matriz, the square is the zero mark of the city. In 1880, due to a visit of the emperor D. Pedro
II to Paraná, the square was renamed and called D. Pedro II. Nine years later, in the Republic, it received the name of Praça Tiradentes. It is
an important local transportation terminus. It is the permanent meeting place of rare memories for the Curitibans.
