Part of the largest linear environmental park of the country at the margin of the
Rio Barigui, the place is an historical mark of the city. It was in this region that Curitiba was founded, initially called Vila Nossa Senhora
da Luz dos Pinhais. Inaugurated in 1994, the park is in honour of the Tingui Indians that lived there and welcomed the colonizers. At the
entrance there is a statue of the Indian Chief Tindiquera, leader of the Indian Tribe. The Ucranean Memorial, inaugurated on October 26, 1995 to
mark the centenary of the Ucranean immigration in Brazil. It has a chapel, steeple, a typical house, an open stage and a gateway. All the
buildings were made od notched solid wood, including the roofs. The chapel is a replica of the Igreja de São Miguel Arcanjo, built at the end of
the last century in Serra do Tigre, municipal of Marechal Mallet.
