One of the most visited places in Curitiba is the Birigui Park that in the Indian
dialect means "River of the Thorny Fruit". The park is the headquarters of the Cultural Secretariate of the State and because of this
the fauna and flora are exuberant. In the 1,4 million square meters you can find types of birds such as white herons, song-thrushes and crown
spanrous, besides several animals like preás and skunks.
The park also has installations such as bicycle, lanes and miniature airplane
strips, sport areas, equipment for gymnastics, restaturant, parking lot, barbecue pits, kiosks.
Other attractions are the automobile Museum, the Estação Maria Fumaça (Smokey Mary
Train Station), the Park of Exhibitions and the Convention Center.
