Glória House |
Glória House, in the reality, is two. On each side of the street there was a small
palace, used by a sister’s high school. To avoid that the young ladies who studied there had any contact with the boys, a bridge was erected
uniting one building to another.
One of the houses belonged to Portugal Royalty and, subsequently, to Ms. Josefa
Maria da Glória. The other was a residence for bishops and religious people of Diamantina. Today, Glória House is a cultural center, a center
for cartography studies, a small memorial and a research center for tourism.
