Florianópolis - Parks - Rio Vermelho Forest Park

Rio Vermelho Forest Park

Rio Vermelho Forest Park

With more than 1000 hectares, the environmental preservation area baptized as Rio Vermelho Forest Park was founded in 1962 on an area between Moçambique Beach and Conceição Lake. There are 14km of beaches and another 11km bathed by the lake.

In the place there’s a forest constituted by pine trees where several trails are kept to make easy the access in case of fires or emergencies. On these trails, with the support of guides, visitors can take a ride in “quadriciclos” to know the park, having fun and receiving notions of environmental education at the same time.

The park has camping area with good infrastructure.

Address: Road to Ingleses Beach, 31km from downtown, District of São João do Rio Vermelho.
