Inaugurated in 1982, da Lagoa do Peri Municipal Park occupies an area of 20km²,
covered with “Mata Atlântica” (Tropical Forest). Registered as Natural Patrimony, the park has the biggest fresh water lake of Santa Catarina,
which gives the name to the reserve.
The place, which also serves as object for botanic researches, shelters innumerous
animal species, even otters and alligators. Trails are spread all over the park with different difficulty levels. They’re ideal for those who
like to explore nature and also make use of the infrastructure of the place, which counts with barbecue areas, playground, snack bars and
bars.
