Located between “Daniela” and “Jurerê” beaches, Forte Beach is 25km away from
Florianópolis’ downtown. It has calm and warm waters, besides of a broad sand strip. It earned its name due to the proximity to São José da Ponta
Grossa Fortress, built in the middle of the 18th century.
The history says that the fortress was used as defense in the North of Santa
Catarina and, after being deactivates in 1935, it was registered as Historic State Patrimony. |
