Matadeiro Beach is located on a calm atmosphere between “Lagoinha” and “Armação”
and is searched by surfers and visitors who want to rest on a more distant place and with less agitation. It’s small, but has strong waves. It
has few bars and is located 23km from the city’s downtown.
Matadeiro is another beach that has already been related with predatory whale
fishing, as well as Armação Beach. The fishermen had the habit of preparing traps to capture the animals when the commerce was still allowed
in the region. Actually, it protects the whales through the environmental preservations. |
