Tapera Beach |
With the extinction of the carijós indians, the beach was abandoned, earning the
name of Tapera, which means “small indian house”, or “abandoned house”, according to dictionaries of Portuguese language. With calm waters and
yellowish sands, the seaside presents paths of crushed rocks and, sometimes, some mud.
Searched by fishermen and bathers, the 520 meters long beach is part of “Distrito
do Ribeirão da Ilha”. Tapera do Sul has a path of marshes and three other rivers, which have banks of grayish and thin sands. |
