Today, “Paço Municipal” is the meeting point of tourists and residents, who
participate in the cultural and entertainment activities realized there. The construction was originally a ranch of Mendes Guimarães family.
In 1892, it became “Palácio Episcopal”, being subsequently reformed by the government.
In 1989, it was completely restored and until 2002 it was the City Hall. Around
the house there’s “Bosque Dom Delgado”, with many centenary trees, cut by the famous Pajeú Stream.
