Located at Fortaleza’s downtown, Praça dos Mártires is actually one of the
meeting points of the city, frequented by young residents of the region and also some visitors. History tells that the place was the hanging
place of several people who fought for the independence of Brazil still in the Colonization era.
The place, initially called as “Campo de Pólvora”, has a garden and space for
fairs, besides a skating rink, built in the 19th century. |
