“Centro Cultural Dragão do Mar de Arte e Cultura” is one of the responsibles for
giving information of interesting places for tourists visiting Fortaleza. On a 30000 m² space, there can be found many attractions divided
between Memorial da Cultura Cearense, Museu de Arte Contemporânea, Teatro Dragão do Mar, Espaço Unibanco movie rooms, amphitheater “Sérgio
Mota”, auditorium and planetary.
It’s located at "Quarteirão dos Artistas", as the block formed by José
Avelino, Almirante Tamandaré, Dragão do Mar and Boris streets is known. There’s a set of old houses, dated from the 20’s and 30’s, where most
of the ateliers of artists of Ceará are installed. The bohemian and calm atmosphere of the place boosted the opening of bars and, nowadays,
the place is on an obligatory circuit for any tourist.
