Goiás - Historical Building - Casa do Bispo

Casa do Bispo

Casa do Bispo

Casa do Bispo

There are no data about the construction of the house, but it’s known that in 1909 the house was bought by Dom Prudêncio, Bishop of Goiás. The place then started to be used as workshop of the newspaper “O Lidador” and used by the secretary of the bishopric. Built in “taipe” and “adobe”, the construction suffered several reforms during a long time, until that, in 1987, after a long restoration process, the house was inaugurated again and passed to host the “17ª Sub-Regional” of IPHAN.
