Constructed in the beginning of the 20th century, “Mercado Municipal” is located
close to São Francisco de Paula Church. The building, of eclectic architectonical characteristics resembling a warehouse, shelters several
commercial establishments. It’s possible to access the building from the courtyard or from the highway bus station.
“Mercado Municipal” is one of the meeting points of the residents of Goiás and one
of the places where visitors mustn’t miss, since there are exhibited craftsmanship products and typical dishes, like “empadão goiano”.
