Pedro Ludovico Teixeira was the founder of the city, that’s why he’s honored by
giving his name to a memorial that tells the trajectory of Goiás, its development and traditions. Built in 1934, the house that shelters the
museum belonged to Ludovico Teixeira. It’s very well preserved and still keeps the original architectonical style.
The residence was transformed into a museum in 1937, after being registered as
State Historic Heritage. Actually, the space has 1836 objects, among porcelain goods, furniture, crystals, personal objects and clothes. In
the iconographic patrimony, there are 1142 photos that compose a complete register of the regional evolution.
