Iguassu Falls - Museum - Ecomuseum

The Ecomuseum, located in the Touristic Complex of Itaipu, is a completely different type of museum. There, the tourists gets to know the history of the dam through multimedia resources, with sceneries and scale models that show how the place was in the past. The main attraction is the copy of a turbine that emits the typical sounds of the mechanism when it is turned on.

The Ecomuseum is divided into phases that retract the colonization of the region up to the actual projects of conservation of the nature that are done by the company. In the thematic spaces, there are activities for the children and for adults to get to know as much as possible about water and energy. Computer terminals are spread around the museum to supply detailed information to the visitors. You can also find samples of the fauna, flora and soil of the region.
