Pinhão National Party was idealized by a local dealer who sold on his establishment
products like honey, cheese, peanut, salami, corn, “pinhão”, sweets, jams, liqueurs, breads, home biscuits and craftsmanship goods. He used to
have a jar where clients could taste “pinhões cozidos”.
One day, he decided to make a party to promote “pinhão” and other country products
called “Festa do Interior”. But the event got so big that it became a national event. Actually, the festival receives around 300000 visitors
coming from several parts of Brazil, contributing for the economic progress of the city, since the sells, boosted by the festival, transformed
the commercial establishments of Lages into a new profit source for the city.
The main attractions of the festival realized at “Parque Conta Dinheiro”, besides
the food and beverage stalls, are the dances, the election of the festival queen, shows of popular artists nationally known and the regional art
exhibitions. |
