Erected by slaves in just 90 days, Senhor Bom Jesus dos Passos Church was
constructed in 1855. The sanctuary was made with handcrafted bricks, which dried only with the sun heat. One of the main attractions is the
image of Senhor dos Passos, which came from Portugal in 1852.
