Nosso Senhor Bom Jesus dos Martírios Church
The construction of the church began in 1880 and was finished in 1885. The basilica
is ample and gathers together various architectonic styles which transforms it into a temple with a very eclectic aspect. What calls attention in
the church are the steeples with oriental characteristics and the tiles of the external wall of the church that come from Portugal. The Nosso
Senhor Bom Jesus dos Marítimos Church is located in front of the Praça Floriano Peixoto, popularly known as the Praça dos Marítimos. |
