You can find several choices of tours to familiarize the tourists with the environment and observation of wild life. These activities varies according to the time of the year. From March to August, is the flood season when the level of the waters reaches 20 meters. This season is ideal for visitation of the “igapós”(flooded forest).

During dry season, from September to February, the level of the waters reaches its lowest point, diminishing the space for the fishes, making fishing easier.

The wake up and sunrise observation in this vastness forest, represents a marvelous spectacle of nature. Besides that, in the surroundings of the hotel, you can find several others options like swimming, diving and row in the river.

The guides of Juma Lodge, stays with the guests in the tours of the region like walking in the jungle when you reach the not flooded area and you walk in the jungle avoiding the trails. During the tour, guests receive information about local fauna and flora and tips of jungle survival.

Another local attraction not to be loosed is the observation of the alligators. The guides take a boat with the guests to visit a lagoon where, using flashlights, they see the alligators.

There is also a visit to “caboclos” house, to know the way and customs of the people from the Amazon; and a overnight at the jungle where you sleep at hammocks, tied at the trees.

And talking about trees, Juma guests have the opportunity of knowing a real tourist point of the region: the “sumauna”, the biggest tree in the Amazon.

There is also a possibility of fishing in a motor boat, where you can find several kinds of Amazon fishes like the “tucunaré”, the “tambaqui” and the famous piranha.

Another unforgettable experience is the meeting of the muddy waters of the Solimões River with the dark waters of the Negro River, making one of the most beautiful sites of nature.
