 Manaus - Museums - The Indian Museum

    The Indian’s Museum was inaugurated in 1952 and is kept since its foundation by the Salesian sisters. In the patrimony there are approximately three thousand craftsmanship pieces, all made by indians of several tribes of the Amazon. Among them the domestic utensils, hunting apparatus, nets an ornaments stands out.

    Besides craftsmanship pieces, the museum has several informations about religious missions, habits and culture of several brazilian tribes.
