Also known as “Igreja do Galo”, due to a sculpture located in the top of the
tower, Santo Antônio Church was constructed in 1799, in baroque style. It’s one of the constructions of highest historic value of Natal, just
behind of Reis Magos Fortress. Other attractions that can be found there are an altar made of carved cedar and the museum of sacred arts, which
works next to the building and has pieces of the 17th and 18th centuries.
