Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos Church was erected by slaves around 1713. It
was destined to poor people and black slaves, who at that time couldn’t frequent the same temples of the white and rich families.
In the church, according to stories of residents of the region, the blacks were
buried, including the ones with death sentence. In front of the church, visitors can see “Cruzeiro”, installed in 1907. Since its construction,
the building didn’t pass through any reform or restoration and is now registered as National Historic Patrimony.
