Besides being an excellent place to stay in touch with nature, Seridó Ecologic
Station keeps a natural history museum, created due to innumerous researches realized there.
The collection is divided in two parts. There’s the scientific collection, where
there’s the equipments and results of studies of technical focus. The other is turned to the public, with monitored visits and more than four
thousand species of insects, mammals, reptiles and birds. Besides that, there’s the exhibit of stones, kinds of wood and utensils to capture
wild animals, confiscated by Ibama in police raids.
It’s located in Rio Grande do Norte country side and also occupies an area of
Paraíba. The main access way is through BR-304, from Natal towards Currais Novos. From this city take BR-427 towards Caicó, going in direction
of Serra Negra do Norte. At km 128 go another 4km of gravel road until the seat of the Estação Ecológica do Seridó. The nearest city is Caicó
