 Natal - Genipabu

Genipabu

Genipabu

Genipabu

At Genipabu, visitors can make tours at least unusual, involving much sands and thrill buggy descents, driven by local professionals who ask: "with or without thrilling?” The dunes are sand mountains that change place and disappear according to the action of the wind and the movement of vehicles above them.

In Genipabu, visitors are taken to this tour inside private real properties, requiring license for the drivers and the payment of a fee for the tour in the sands of this beach. Rides with inexperienced people are not advisable, once the dunes change places is it’s not sure the location of holes and firm land.

Even "without thrilling", tourists mustn’t miss the opportunity of going in buggy rides, because, besides the fun, there’s also the possibility of gaze upon the wonderful view of this part of the sea. Those riding in the dunes, can also try other “sports”, like “esquibunda” for example, where visitors go down the dunes sat on a board until reaching the water.

Still in Genipabu, visitors can ride in rafts in the lakes among the dunes, and even ride the exotic, and stinking, dromedaries.

To go to Genipabu, the best way is to go through “Via Costeira” until the central rim and follow the plaques to the ferry to goes to Redinha. From Redinha there are another 7km. Other way is the road RN-302 (about 30km).
