Built between 1696 and 1724, it is the maxim expression of the baroque sacred art of Pernambuco. It presents one of the most beautiful sets of Portuguese cuts in Brazil. The whole lining is covered with paintings framed with the sophisticated golden cuts and outlined with jacaranda grating. Attached to the chapel is the Franciscan Sacred Art Museum, founded on September 28, 1974, that has a representative collection of historical, artistic and religious wealth.
