GUARARAPES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
 The
Guararapes International Airport sets itself apart from other Brazilian airports for its privileged
location: it is within the city limits of the Pernambuco Capital and 35km (21 miles) from the Suape Port
and Industrial Complex. Its landing strip, 3.305m long, is the largest in the Northeast. Currently in the
process of being amplified, the Guararapes airport has the capacity of receive 5 milion passengers per year
and has 11 embarking bridges (fingers), 64 check-in counters that can attend up to 1500 passengers
simultaneously, parking for 2 thousand cars and a moving sidewalk connecting it to the Recife metro train.
