TREKKING

Walking or trail hiking, when combined with a motivation, be it physycal or psychological, takes on a sportive aspect in Trekking. For being financially accessible and practiced by people of all ages, this is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. The word "treck" comes from the Afrikaner language and was used by the Dutch in South Africa in the 19th century. The verb "trekken" means "migrate" and its significance is associated with physical resistance. It is good to keep in mind that there should be some preparation before any hike, such as having a good map or topographical plan of the location, along with any necessary materials that a specific region may require.
In Pernambuco, Trekking is common in locations that have been blessed by nature. The most sought-after city is Bonito, which conserves a series of waterfalls along dirt roads. There are other instate areas which are great for hikes, such as Brejo da Madre de Deus , 193km (119 miles) from Recife, Caruaru, Bezerros, 105km (65 miles), Fazenda Nova, 180km (111 miles) and Carpina, 56km (34 miles).
