The Ipanema beach, located on Avenida Vieira Souto, is considered to be one of the postcards of Rio de Janeiro. Ipanema
is the beach of the whole world, all you have to do is visit it. Early in the morning, it is very busy, with people walking to breath fresh
air and appreciate the nature.
The walk usually lasts until sunset, when the swimmers take advantage of the
beautiful sunset. All along the wide sidewalk there are bathrooms and showers for the swimmer to take a shower and loads of food stands.
There are many surfers, the waves are usually high and the sand is white and fluffy. In Ipanema there are also places reserved for diving
because in front of the beach there are the Palmas and Cagarras Islands. The Pedra do Arpoador is one of the best places to see the beach
of Ipanema.
Its beauty makes the tourists want to get to know the beach. However, these
who think that everybody go to the beach to see the sea are mistaken because many people want to test their luck an who knows, find a
summer "inspiration" like Vinícius de Morais who found the inspiration to compose "Garota de Ipanema". |
