Rio de Janeiro - Beaches - Leme Beach

To know all the city of Rio de Janeiro it’s necessary to spend several days lodged there. Tourists may visit only the main touristic spots, but one thing that may never miss in the itinerary is Leme’s Beach.

It’s the ideal place to those who wish to know, in just one beach, various other charming attractions of "Wonderful City". Leme’s Beach may be the start – or end – of the Copacabana’s Beach. It begins at Leme’s Hill and ends at Princesa Isabel Avenue. By being a calm and few frequented place, it’s considered a residential beach. There, the tourists may practice sports like volley, soccer and also enjoy themselves in the kiosks that sells various appetizers and beverages.

Bathed by clear water and formed with White and smooth sand, Leme’s Beach houses one of the main attractions of the city: the famous Leme’s Fortress. On the Fortress tour, tourists get to know the historic site of the Leme’s Fortress and also the environment protection area of Mata Atlântica. From the Fortress, other attractions of Rio de Janeiro may be seen, like Cristo Redentor, the Pedra da Gávea, the coast of Niterói, among other attractions. The tour through Leme’s Fortress may be done at weekends and holidays.
