The Centro Cultural Light was inaugurated on April 29th, 1994. All the
historical documents, photographs and texts related to the Light company are preserved. The existing Collection of the Centro Cultural has
general information about the history of the Light, covering its foundation up to the actual events and evolution. Students and researchers can
use the filed items when desired.
The idea of the Centro Cultural Light is to offer to the young people a vast
knowledge on the history of the eletric energy and the Light in a unique and modern way. The visitors get to know all of the history through
films, games and panels with texts and images. The idea is to inform in a relaxing and amusing way.
The Centro Cultural Light receives groups of up to 194 people. For these visits,
it is necessary to divide the groups so that each monitor can lead their group tranquilly and safely. There are 12 trained monitors to orientate
the visitors. The visit lasts three and a half hour, time enough to get to know all the Centro Cultural Light.
