 Rio de Janeiro - Presentation

To think of the country and not remember Rio de Janeiro is almost impossible. It is very hard for a tourist, mainly a foreign one, to avoid an association with Cristo Redentor and his open arms, the Corcovado and the Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) when the subject is Brazil.

The most famous brazilian postcard gathers together all the attractions that are most sought out by the tourists: beautiful beaches and a large variety of natural riches, numberless cultural and recreation options, without mentioning the various constructions and monuments that symbolize important moments of the brazilian history. therefore, it is not a surprise that Rio de Janeiro is one of the most sought out destination for brazilian and foreign tourists, that arrive in the city motivated by the natural beauty and by the famous charm of the carioca people as well.

It is not necessary to say that the visit to the Cristo Redentor with the right to a ride on the streetcar and everything else, is obligatory. From the top the view is marvelous. The blue of the sky and the water mix to contrast with the green of the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest of the world, while you can see that Mother Nature had been very very generous with the city.

In Rio de Janeiro, nature can be found all over, living with the growth of the urban zone. Connected to the sea by the Alah Garden, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lake is an enchanting place, even though is had suffered for several years a real disaster caused by the effects of the pollution of the water: the death of thousands of fish. Today completely restored, the lake is a gigantic mirror of water that reflects the sun light and the carioca passage from dawn to sunset, while tourist and residence of the city walk through the urbanized orle that has tracks for walking, biking and various food stalls.

Like any other big city in the world, Rio de Janeiro has its violent areas, but the tourists don't have to be worried if they have been well instructed. Since being careful is never enough the ideal is to avoid using jewelry and eletronic equipment.

The "Cidade Maravilhosa" (Marvelous City) doesn't lose anything to the other large cities. Very fem places have managed to mix metropolis airs with the pleasant climate of a resort like Rio de Janeiro.
