Sabará - Historical Building - Padre Corrêa Manor

Padre Correa Manor

Padre Correa Manor

The building was constructed in 1773 and belonged to Padre José Corrêa da Silva. It kept the characteristics of that time, with ceiling painting and an internal chapel, with images and altars adorned with gold. The residence mix the rural and urban style, presenting a huge internal courtyard.

During the 19th century, it was bought by Council Chamber President Jacinto Dias, that’s why it’s also known as Jacinto Dias Manor. In the 20th century, the municipal government bought the residence, making it the City Hall of Sabará. The manor is registered as National Art and History Patrimony.
