Conventinho do Espírito Santo |
“Conventinho do Espírito Santo” was built in 1904, in baroque style, on a place
where there was a sister convent. It’s a nice building that shelters the history of the local religiosity, showing to public the dependencies of
the place used for study of the religious doctrines by sisters and franciscans.
Even today, the epoch furniture is exhibited inside the convent, as well as the
garden and the chapel, which are kept to preserve the history of the place. There’s the sacred goods store next to the convent.
It’s there that frei Hugolino, famous parapsychologist that since 1978 attends
devotees that look for him in search of cure for their illnesses, lives and works. Around 30000 people per year arrive to the city looking for
Frei Hugolino, who cures through their hands.
